LITTLE SCOUT FILMS

Based in St. John’s, Little Scout Films is a fresh film collective consisting of founding members Anna Wheeler, Jamie Pitt and Adam Penney. They strive to create hilarious and poignant performance pieces on film and on stage.

The inaugural project and original short film script, Face It, focuses on the tale of two teenage girls who seek revenge on the high school bully. Drawn from personal experiences while attending high school in downtown St. John’s, the story explores themes of bullying, belonging, and the perils of high school, all woven together in a bizarre and witty 22-minute script. The film’s soundtrack will feature St. John’s pop sensation The Gramercy Riffs, winners of the Atlantis 2010 Music Prize. With each Little Scout Films venture, the goal is to keep the characters and stories, as well as cast and crew, ‘freshly local.’

Upon completion of the project, the company will submit it to the Nickel Independent Film Festival, the St. John’s Women’s International Film Festival, and beyond, to national and international arenas. Little Scout would like to acknowledge the support from the City Of St.John's, NIFCO, Holy Heart of Mary High School and thank everyone who is helping make this film possible- it could not be done without you! Through the help of donations the crew is able to cover the incredible production costs and equipment rentals.
